Pocket Zoo HD is een educatieve applicatie. Als je de app opstart hoor je direct allerlei geluiden die je in de echte dierentuin ook hoort. De app geeft je eigenlijk een virtuele rondleiding door een niet-bestaande dierentuin.

Op de plattegrond op het hoofdscherm zie je meer dan 50 dieren die direct te selecteren zijn. Per dier zijn er interessante weetjes, video’s en ook live beelden te zien. De app maakt daarvoor verbinding met live-cams van echte dierentuinen. Zo kun je bijvoorbeeld even een kijkje nemen wat de olifanten aan het uitspoken zijn.

Je kunt een leeuw horen brullen en ook nog dieren adopteren, als je dat wilt natuurlijk. Alles is grafisch erg mooi uitgevoerd en voor de €2,99 is dit echt een leuke app om de kleintjes met de dieren kennis te laten maken.
